U of M Labor and Community Strike Support Committee

AT UNIVERSITY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1219 UNIVERSITY AVE SE, MPLS.

On September 8th, there will be a People's Conference held in support of striking AFSCME workers and all those struggling for a more democratic university. The conference will be held from 1-7pm at U Baptist Church following the 10am U of M Labor and Community Strike Support Meeting. All are welcome to attend and snacks will be provided.

The conference, organized primarily by our graduate students, is based around the theme "Rethinking the U of M within the Moment of Crisis" and will provide a chance to discuss the past, present, and futures of this University and provide an opportunity to historicize, theorize, and strategize the current AFSCME strike as well as broader transformations in higher education.
