Dear President Bruininks:

The University of Minnesota is a high quality institution. It is vital to maintain a high quality workforce at the University, not just the faculty and administrators, but also the many support positions that keep the University running. I write in support of the clerical, health care, and technical employees who are asking for a raise to keep up with the cost of living. They are vital to the University system.

I urge you to do what you can to negotiate a fair settlement with these workers. I think everyone can agree that we need to retain a high quality workforce at the University of Minnesota.
