"Free Lunch" with the Hunger Strikers

Location: Northrop Mall in front of Morrill Hall
(rain location: east end of Washington Ave walk bridge)

**Throughout the week, hunger strikers will be holding "office hours" between 9:30 and 6:00 on the East Bank Mall. **

The Faculty Strike Support Committee is sponsoring a silent protest in solidarity with the striking AFSCME workers. We will be silent for one half hour, followed by a minute of “noise,” because we are struck speechless by the administration’s refusal to offer the workers a fair, living-wage contract and because of the continuing attacks on academic freedom and free speech that they are waging against supporters of the strike. Please join us.

University Baptist Church (at University and 13th, Dinkytown)

With the strike of 3,500 AFSCME workers entering the third week, we are at a crucial juncture in this struggle. Student and community support remain absolutely vital for helping to push this stubborn union-busting administration back to the negotiating table with a fair contract on offer.
